On the side of the road
Sporting a filthy salt glaze
Flesh collapsing in
Exposing knobby ice ribs
Like Cajun cod
I nurse the appetite
For the true spring
I’ll never see
Horseman pass by
Just back from a couple of days at the Seaside and feeling all Springy. Loved it – thanks
Alas, our spring in Alaska is very drawn out and should best be called “winter – the sequel” with fall known as “winter – the prequel”
